amidele Oluwaseun (Comrade), the Publisher of Oasis News Bulletin, and President Emeritus, National Association of Mass Communication Students (Jan 13, 2016 – March 12, 2017), is a journalist, blogger, web designer, social media consultant, writer, author, unionist and human rights activist who rides on the back of determination, hard work, undying courage, integrity and commitment to become a household name in the journalism profession in Ondo state and Nigeria at large.


Born to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Fredrick Bamidele, in Ondo town, Ondo West Local Government Area of Ondo State, on January 12, 199*, young Oluwaseun attended St. Mary’s catholic Nursery and Primary School, Ondo, Adeyemi Demonstration Nursery and Primary School, Ondo and Adeyemi Demonstration Secondary School in Ondo city. He is also a Mass communication graduate of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo state.


I began my journalism career in the year 2013 after I got admission into Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko as a new student. I joined the Mass communication Editorial board as a trainee reporter and writer where I learnt basic skills in news writing and reporting and this led me to establish a campus media group on December 20, 2013; 10 months after gaining admission into the university. My media outfit; Oasis media group which started with 7 members stood out gallantly and competed greatly with the already existing media outfits on campus.


Oasis News Bulletin is one of the weekly news bulletins published in Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko. The bulletin, which was first published in January, 2014, has since become the most read and most reliable source of information for the students of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko and its environs.


In unionism and community service; in 2013, I was appointed as Chief Whip, National Association of Mass Communication Students, Adekunle Ajasin University. In 2014, I was elected the Public Relations Officer of the National Association of Mass Communication Students, Adekunle Ajasin University, a position I held for a session. In 2015, after my exit from office as a PRO, I was appointed Secretary, Constitution Review Committee by the then Incumbent President, Comrade Owoseeni Damilola. In January 2016, I was elected and inaugurated as the President, National Association of Mass Communication Students, Adekunle Ajasin University, a position which i occupied till March 2017.


My awards include: best personality of the year (2015) by the National Association of Mass Communication Students, Adekunle Ajasin University, Media Writer of the year (NAMACOS AAUA 2016) and my media group; Oasis Media Group was awarded the Best Media Group on Campus (2015 and 2016) by the Faculty of Arts Students Association and the Face of AAUA meritorious awards 2016 respectively.


I also served, between 2014 and 2015, as a member and Production Manager, National Union of Campus Journalists and in 2017 served as the electoral committee chairman for NUCJ, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko Chapter (an election conducted free and fair with the first time introduction of balloting system). I also served as a reporter and writer for Trace News Magazine, Akure from July to December, 2015.

I am also the Founder, Oasis Connect, (www.oasisconnect.com.ng), a social media networking concept that links Nigerians to the latest news update across the globe with over 700,000 total visitors. I was also the graphics editor, Editorial Unit, Redeemed Christian Fellowship, Adekunle Ajasin University from 2015-2017.


I am also a founding member, OMA TEENS FOUNDATION and WAPS (War Against Premarital Sex) an inter-campus organisation that intimates students and young minds on the need for astinence from all sexual activities. I am also a Campus Brand Ambassador for Indomie Instant Noodles Company, a position I’ve held from 2016 till date.
